Yael Stone, a native of Australia, and who moved to New York City in 2013 was the character Lorna Mello as an inmate on Orange Is the New Black. Yael Stone graduated from NIDA. Yael despite her young age, has had the opportunity to learn from Australia's most renowned storytellers. Yael is an internationally acclaimed actress throughout Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael's journey to New York City began when the production received a prestigious review at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. Yael has been a co-founder of The Cannery. The Cannery encourages innovative ideas in writing and also creative projects in the Bushwick studio.
